The Lipscomb Lady Bisons basketball schedule has a heavy local flavor for 2008-2009. The Lady Bisons will be playing several Ohio Valley Conference teams this season starting with the regular season opener Nov. 15 at Austin Peay in Clarksville, Tenn. The Lipscomb baseball team has scheduled a four-game series at Fresno State for the 2009 season, coach Jeff Forehand announced Friday. Lipscomb will play the College World Series Champions on March 27, a double-header on March 28, and another game on March 29.  » Full Story

Wayne Dedrick has decided to pursue a professional baseball career. Dedrick, the 30th round selection of the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2008 First-Year Player Draft, signed a contract with the club Thursday morning.
