No stranger to the Lipscomb University campus, Garner Goode joined the Bisons athletics staff in 2012 transitioning from his role in student life to become the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Purple and Gold. In his role with the Bisons, Goode oversees the marketing strategies for all 17 NCAA Division I sports and works to manage and secure corporate partners for the program.
Goode has a hands on role in the day-to-day operation of the department as he spearheads the efforts to drive attendance and engage fans once they arrive at the various sporting events held on campus. Among those efforts has been a renewed energy in driving student involvement and attendance at games keeping close partnerships with the student groups on campus.
In his tenure, the department has experienced steady growth in ticket sales, corporate sponsorships and social media under Goode’s watch. He also serves as the department’s branding officer where he works with the University’s licensing partners to enhance and strengthen the Bisons brand.
Along with leading the marketing efforts at Lipscomb, Goode is the sitting chair of the ASUN Conference Marketing Committee and serves on the Nashville Sports Councils’ Women in Sports Committee.
Goode owns both a Master of Exercise Science and Nutrition and Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Lipscomb. A native of Dresden, Tennessee, he is married to the former Rachel Sisco. The couple resides in Nashville and have two children, Harper and Mack.
