After scoring only one run in each of the first two games of the series, the Bisons finally broke through against Charleston Southern pitching with three runs in the eighth, to walk away with a 5-2 victory in the series finale.

The Bucs tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the seventh against left-hander Ryan Carroll. In three innings, Carroll gave up two runs, but allowed just one hit.
Right-hander Brandon McClurg relieved Carroll in the eighth. McClurg did not allow a hit in his two innings of work to give the Bisons' a chance to take the lead.
The Bisons took the lead for good with three runs in the eighth.
"After losing the first two games of the series we really needed to come away with a win today," Smith said. "The defense made good plays behind me, and kept us in the ball game. Ryan Carroll and Brandon McClurg did a great job in relief, and our offense came through with some timely hits for the win."
McClurg earned the win with his two innings of relief.
Bolden led the Bisons on offense with four hits. Ryan Mitchell and Sanders added two RBI's each.
"Hopefully this win will give us confidence heading into the upcoming series with Gardner-Webb because a series win for us would be huge," Smith said. "Today was a good team effort. We just need to get back to work and see if we can produce similar results next weekend."
