Lipscomb University baseball coach Jeff Forehand has announced the signing of Logan Hostettler from Franklin, Tenn.

Hostettler, a catcher at Battle Ground Academy, was an All-State selection in 2006 and was second=team pick in 2005. He was both an All-Region and All-District selection in 2004, 2005 and 2006.

Hostettler, 5-foot-10, 185 pounds, hit .350 with four home runs and 40 runs batted in as BGA finished 33-9 his junior year.

In 2006 BGA was the regular season champion and Mid-Region Champion in Division II, They also finished as runners-up in the Division II State Tournament.

His parents are Peg and Greg Hostettler. He has a sister, Lincoln, 16 and a brother, Lane, 14.

Hostettler is undecided about a major. He was also being recruited locally by Belmont.
