The Lipscomb Bisons lost 10-5 Friday afternoon in the first game of an Atlantic Sun doubleheader against Campbell at Buies Creek, N.C., but still managed to clinch the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament.

The Bisons follow in the steps of the Lady Bisons softball team which also earned the No. 1 seed in the A-Sun Softball Tournament.

This is the second straight season the Bisons have earned a berth in the conference tournament. The tournament starts May 21 and continues through May 24 at Stetson University in DeLand, Fla.

Mike Dunn, 4-4, took the loss for the Bisons in game one of the doubleheader.
