Former Lipscomb southpaw Rex Brothers signs with Rockies

DENVER, Colo. — Rex Brothers wants to be in the majors. So he didn’t wait long to sign a contract with the Rockies. The college left-hander rose up draft boards this spring. In fact, Rockies’ manager Jim Tracy’s son scouted Brothers, and gave dad a gushing scouting report.
