NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After spending the last two weekends on the road the Lipscomb baseball team returns home on Thursday night to host a three-game, non-conference set against Campbell beginning at 6 p.m. at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen L. Marsh Stadium.

In their first season in the Big South Conference, the Camels (32-10) have made a dramatic turnaround from their 17-37 finish a year ago leading the nation in hits with 480 and ranking second in runs scored with 331.  The Camels also rank in the top five nationally batting average (.327) and hit by pitch (81).

The Bisons (18-23) are slated to send redshirt-freshman Will Blalock (1-1, 2.67 ERA) to the hill on Thursday night against Campbell senior righty Matt Sergey (5-0, 3.48 ERA), who is unbeaten on the season and leads the Camels with 60 strikeouts.

Friday night’s 6 p.m. contest will see Lipscomb senior right-hander Connor Sinclair (5-3, 3.09 ERA) head to the hill for his 11th start of the season matching up against Campbell senior righty Frank Zier (3-1, 3.12 ERA).

Lipscomb junior southpaw Blake Fonfara (2-5, 4.78 ERA) will get the nod on Saturday for the Bisons.  His opponent is still to be announced by the Camels.

In conjunction with the games this week, the Bisons are collecting clothes to donate to ThriftSmart.  Fans are encouraged to bring clothing items to donate at Dugan Field.  Tickets are $5 for adults ages 13 and up.  Admission is free for those ages 12 and under.
