Bisons look to make it two straight against Belmont

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Wrapping up a four-game road trip, the Lipscomb baseball team makes the short trek to E.S. Rose Park on Tuesday night for a 5 p.m. contest against Belmont.

The contest features the second meeting of the season between the two long-time foes on the heels of the Bisons (14-27) 5-3 win just two weeks ago.  The come-from-behind win for Lipscomb was capped off by an eighth-inning two-run double by senior catcher Taylor Stewart.

Tuesday’s contest will see senior righty Davey Hackett go toe-to-toe with Belmont (27-11) righthander Jordan Deal.  Hackett is 1-5 on the season with an 8.28 ERA while Deal is 0-0 with a 6.00 ERA having thrown only three innings all season.

Following the contest with the Bruins, the Bisons return home on Friday to start a three-game Atlantic Sun Conference set against Stetson at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen L. Marsh Stadium.
