What sport did you play at Lipscomb? What years? Who were your coaches?
“I played baseball from 1993-1997. Ken Dugan was my coach the first three years, and Mel Brown coached my senior year.”
What is your fondest athletic memory at Lipscomb?
“My senior year was my favorite. I loved being on the team, and I still keep in contact with some of my teammates today.”
Who had the biggest influence on you during your athletic career at Lipscomb? How?
“My coaches had the biggest influence on me. I’m a baseball coach now and I still use sport sheets from coach Dugan, and workouts from coach Brown. They really had a big impact on my life on and off the field.“
What is the most valuable thing you gained or learned from your time at Lipscomb?
“I really loved hanging out in the dorm with the guys and the friends that I made.”
Who was your favorite professor? Why?
“My favorite professor was Dr. Nikolaus who taught Calculus. He always went out of his way to help students, and I teach math now. He was a great teacher, but an even better man.”

Who is your employer? What is your occupation? What does your position entail?
“I have been at Goodpasture Christian School for 12 years and teach Algebra 2 now, and have coached baseball there for 10 years. We have also won three state championships in baseball at Goodpasture since I have been head coach (2004, 2007, 2008), and we have made seven state tournaments in the 10 years I have been coaching.”
Tell us about your family.
“I am married to Collette who graduated from the University of Kentucky. She now teaches eighth grade English at Goodpasture Christian School. We have two children, Isabella who is 6, and Cooper who is 3.”
