Monday, March 19, 2012 NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After a three-game set at USC Upstate to open Atlantic Sun Conference play, the Lipscomb baseball team returns home on Tuesday night hosting Austin Peay in a non-conference tilt at 6 p.m. at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen L. Marsh Stadium. Both teams head into the contest looking to pick up some steam after tough weekends on the road. The Bison (7-13, 0-3 A-Sun) found tough sledding against the Spartans dropping a pair of one-run decisions before falling 7-0 on Sunday. The Governors (10-9, 0-0 OVC) lost two of three at Ohio State in a series that saw a pair of contests go into extra innings. Lipscomb is slated to send redshirt freshman Will Blalock (0-0, 4.38 ERA) to the bump against the Govs. Austin Peay is scheduled to counter with junior righty Casey Delgado (2-2, 9.61 ERA) in the 21st meeting between the two schools in the NCAA Division I era. The Bison look to snap a six-game skid against Austin Peay over the last three seasons. The last four contests have been one-run affairs with the Govs coming out on top. Lipscomb senior outfielder M.L. Williams has been a hitting machine against Austin Peay in his career hitting .474 against the Govs. Tickets are $5 for ages 13+ and free for those ages 12 and under.
