NASHVILLE, Tenn. – 2012 Silver Slugger and Gold Glove Award winner and San Diego Padres third baseman Chase Headley will headline the “Forehand and Friends” luncheon hosted by the Lipscomb baseball team on Jan. 23 at Allen Arena.
“We are honored to have Chase join us for our luncheon,” said Lipscomb head coach Jeff Forehand. “He is a rising star in the Major Leagues and we’re thankful that he would take time out of his schedule to come to campus.”
The switch-hitting Headley erupted in 2012 hitting .286 with 31 home runs and a National League best 115 RBIs. His numbers led to him finishing fifth in the voting for the NL Most Valuable Player award. The Franklin resident will be starting his seventh season with the Padres.
The event is set to begin at 11:30 a.m. and features an interview of Headley followed by a question and answer session. Cost is $10. To RSVP contact Brian Ryman at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 615-966-5868.
