NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After 12 games in the friendly confines of Ken Dugan Field, the Lipscomb baseball team embarks on the first road trip of 2013 on Tuesday taking on nearby foe Middle Tennessee at 3 p.m. at Reese Smith Jr. Field in Murfreesboro.
The Bisons (5-7) are scheduled to throw redshirt junior Jacob Knott who is 1-1 with a 4.63 ERA in two starts on the hill. Knott will go up against righthander Garrett Ring, who has made a pair of appearances with a 7.36 ERA and an 0-1 record.
The Blue Raiders are off to a 9-2 start after sweeping Atlantic Sun Conference foe Kennesaw State last weekend behind an offensive explosion that saw MTSU outscore the owls 22-4.
The Bisons head into the contest on a four-game winning streak against Middle Tennessee in a series that is tied 22-22 all-time. MTSU leads the series 9-13 in the NCAA Division I era.
