NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb baseball team faces its toughest challenge so far this season on Tuesday afternoon taking on No. 3 Vanderbilt at Hawkins Field at 4 p.m.
Originally slated for a 6:30 p.m. first pitch, the start was moved up the cold temperatures that linger over the midstate.
Lipscomb (9-16) will send redshirt junior righty Jacob Knott to the hill to take on Vandy (21-4) righthander TJ Pecoraro. Knott is scheduled to make his sixth start of the season behind a 5.00 ERA and a 1-2 record. Pecoraro on the other hand will be making just his first start having thrown just 1.2 innings this spring.
The contest will be the 18th meeting between the two Music City foes. Vanderbilt holds a 15-2 advantage all-time in the series and have won the last six meetings between the two squads.
