NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Fresh off of Tuesday night’s home win over Belmont, the Lipscomb baseball hits the road this weekend for a key three-game Atlantic Sun Conference set at ETSU in Johnson City.

The Bisons (12-22) head into the series needing to pick up the pace in the A-Sun race after a 3-6 start out of the gate.  The Buccaneers (18-12) on the other hand are off to a solid start in league play with a 7-5 mark.

Lipscomb is set to send senior righty Josh Cotham to the hill on Friday night to take on fellow righthander Kerry Doane for ETSU.  Cotham will make his sixth start of the season behind a 1-2 record and 9.85 ERA against Doane who is 6-1 on the year with a 2.22 ERA in eight starts.

Saturday’s contest will see a righty battle between Lipscomb redshirt sophomore Hunter Brothers against ETSU’s Logan Rice. Brothers heads into the game 3-3 on the season with a 6.45 ERA while Rice sports a 2.36 ERA with a 3-1 mark.

The Bisons will send redshirt sophomore Will Blalock out for his team high ninth start of the season.  The Bucs have not named a starter for the final game of the series.  Blalock wraps up the weekend behind an 0-3 mark and a 5.45 ERA
