NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb baseball team hits the road for the second-straight weekend with a trip to the “Peach State” to take on Atlantic Sun Conference foe No. 24 Mercer in Macon, Ga.

The Bisons (13-25, 3-9 A-Sun) head into the weekend looking to make up ground in the A-Sun standings currently sitting in ninth place in the race.

Lipscomb redshirt junior Jacob Knott gets the nod to make his first weekend start in Purple and Gold after making eight midweek starts for the Bisons this season.  Knott is set to go up against Mercer righty Brandon Barker.  Knott enters the weekend with a 1-4 mark and a 4.43 ERA while Barker is 4-0 on the season with a 2.32 ERA.

Saturday afternoon will see a battle between Lipscomb redshirt junior righthander Hunter Brothers and Mercer southpaw David Randall. Brothers boasts a 3-4 mark on the season with a 7.13 ERA while Randall is 1-0 with a 5.00 ERA for the Bears.

The series wraps up on Sunday afternoon with a meeting between LU redshirt sophomore Will Blalock (0-4, 5.21 ERA) and Mercer righty DJ Johnson (5-2, 2.18 ERA).

All three games are set to air on for free.
