Former Bison Joseph named Eastern League All-Star

PORTLAND, Maine – Former Lipscomb standout catcher Caleb Joseph has been named to the 2013 Eastern League All-Star Game roster for the Western Division team.

The regular backstop for the Bowie Baysox, the AA affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, Joseph has garnered all-star honors for the second time in his career after earning the laurel in 2011 for Bowie.  The Nashville native is hitting .293 with 55 RBIs, 14 home runs and 20 doubles in 69 games for the Baysox.

Joseph was a two-time, first-team All-Atlantic Sun Conference selection for the Bisons in 2007 and 2008 and the only ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region team selection in school history.

The Eastern League All-Star Game is slated to take place on July 10 in New Britain, Conn.
