10-RBI week leads to A-Sun Player of the Week for Adams

Monday, March 10, 2014

MACON, Ga. – After leading the Lipscomb baseball team to a 5-0 week, senior outfielder Drew Adams has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league on Monday.

Adams hit .389 on the week with 10 RBIs, two triples and a home run as the Bisons swept a four-game set from Oakland and topped Western Kentucky in a midweek tilt.  The Lula, Ga. native slugged .778 on the week.

Adams’ award marks the second-straight week for a Bison to claim the honor as Grant Massey earned the laurel last week for his efforts.  The back-to-back A-Sun weekly Player of the Week awards are the first in school history.

The Bisons make the quick trip up to Austin Peay on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. before returning home to host Jacksonville for a three-game beginning on Friday at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen L. Marsh Stadium.
