NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Having already inked the top recruiting class in school history for 2015, Lipscomb baseball head coach Jeff Forehand has added LSU transfer southpaw Cody Glenn to the roster.
A Houston, Texas native, Glenn made 25 starts on the hill for the Tigers over the past three seasons in Baton Rouge posting a 3.74 ERA giving up 55 runs in 132.2 innings pitched.
“Cody is a perfect fit for our school & great addition to our baseball program,” said Lipscomb head Coach Jeff Forehand. “He will bring valuable on mound experience to our pitching staff after spending three seasons in a great program and playing at the highest level. We are excited for him and his family to be a part of the Lipscomb family.”
Already enrolled in summer school at Lipscomb, Glenn was a 15th round selection by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2011 Major League Baseball draft after a standout prep career at Westbury Christian High School in Houston, Texas where he earned all-state honors.
He is the son of Greg and Loa Glenn, who are both Lipscomb University graduates. His father Greg is a former member of the Bison basketball team and has been recently named the new headmaster for Lipscomb Academy.
