NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A trio of elite training opportunities are on the books as the Lipscomb baseball coaching staff releases the dates for each camp throughout the month of September.
The camps include a College Prep Camp for high schoolers on Sept. 5-6, a Developmental Transition Camp for middle schoolers on Sept. 12-13 and a Pitchers/Catchers camp (ages 8-18) that will be held on Mondays (Sept. 8, 15, 22, 29).
Each camp will give players a chance to learn from some of the best coaches and players in the country. It will also provide an opportunity for youngsters who want to pursue a career in baseball to get in front of the Lipscomb staff and the perfect chance to get noticed.
College Prep Camp (Friday Sept. 5 – Saturday Sept. 6)
The College Prep Camp will be led by Bison head coach Jeff Forehand and all participants will be instructed in all major aspects of the game: hitting, fielding, pitching, and catching. Campers will also be able to participate in a pro style workout as well as competitive games throughout the two-day camp.
The numbers for this camp will be capped at 80 campers, so hurry and lock up your spot now!
Developmental Transition Camp (Friday Sept. 12 - Saturday Sept. 13)
Players will be instructed in all phases of the game of baseball. Games will be played each day with emphasis on the instruction taught during the camp.
Grades 6-8 are a critical period in a player’s development. The skills developed during these years will serve as the foundation for future development in high school and beyond. Players will leave this camp with techniques to help develop their skills to the next level and begin the process of maximizing their potential. This is also a great way for youth players to become familiar with the "BIG FIELD".
Pitchers/ Catchers Camp (Mondays, Sept. 8, 15, 22, 29)
Don't miss an opportunity to learn from some of the best instructors at every level.
The staff includes current Lipscomb coaches and former players.
Not only will you learn what it takes to become a pitcher or catcher at the next level, you will also have the opportunity to learn the importance of strength and conditioning as well as injury prevention.
The camp will offer tips on pitching and catching mechanics and throwing programs.
