NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb baseball’s Cody Glenn was named Atlantic Sun Pitcher of the Week for his effort against Mississippi Valley State, the league office announced Monday.
Glenn recorded his first career complete game and struck out five on Friday as Lipscomb recorded a 7-1 victory in the series opener with the Delta Devils.
The senior southpaw allowed just one unearned run on four hits and lowered his ERA to 4.25. The victory improved Glenn to 2-0 on the season.
Glenn tossed a season high 108 pitches and did not allow a hit over the final six innings.
He pushed his season strikeout total to 21 and lowered his batting average against to .250.
The award is the second consecutive for Lipscomb after fellow Bison Brady Puckett was named A-Sun Pitcher of the Week on March 21. Lipscomb now has a league high three honors this season.
Lipscomb is back in action on Tuesday at 6 p.m. to take on UT-Martin at Dugan Field.
