Play suspended in baseball's series opener at Kennesaw State

KENNESAW, Ga. – Lipscomb baseball’s series opener at Kennesaw State has been suspended due to rain. The Bisons and the Owls will resume play in the bottom of the eighth with no outs, a runner on second and a 1-1 count with Kennesaw State leading 8-1.

Lipscomb fell behind 5-0 in the first two innings and had to lift starter Cody Glenn after 1.2 innings. Glenn surrendered five runs on seven hits, including three doubles, and one walk.

The Bisons only run came in the top of the third when Michael Gigliotti laid down a sacrifice bunt with the bases loaded to plate Von Watson.

Lipscomb has been outhit 13-3 with Hunter Hanks and Chucky Vazquez, along with Gigliotti, the only ones with base knocks.

 The game is officially suspended until 1 p.m. tomorrow. The teams will finish game one and then pick up Saturday's schedule game approx. 30 minutes after.
