Weather forces Lipscomb-North Florida to 9 a.m. first pitch Friday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Thursday's originally scheduled baseball game between No. 4 Lipscomb and No. 2 North Florida in the Atlantic Sun Championship has been moved to 9 a.m. Friday at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen L. Marsh Stadium.

The rest of Friday's tournament schedule will be determined at a later time.

The second-round game was slated to be played at 7 p.m. Thursday, but after a large storm cell moved across the area all baseball came to a halt.

Stetson and Jacksonville, playing the third game of the day, went into a delay with the Hatters leading 5-4 in the bottom of the fourth inning. Play resumed around 8:50 p.m.

The Bisons and Ospreys found themselves on a collision course after both teams won their opening game of the ASUN Tournament. Lipscomb jumped out to a big lead over Jacksonville before holding on for a 10-8 victory shortly after midnight Wednesday. North Florida dismantled Florida Gulf Coast 12-6 earlier in the day.

Lipscomb needs your support as it tries to defend its tournament crown on home turf, so come on out and have breakfast with your Bisons.
