NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Sunday's rubber game versus Valparaiso has been cancelled for Lipscomb baseball.
The Bisons and Crusaders made it through the middle of the third inning in the 1 p.m. scheduled game before heavy rain fell down on Dugan Field an hour later. The game was officially called at 2:24 p.m. shortly after the teams cleared the field and it will not be made up.
The teams split the first two games of the series with Lipscomb taking game one 6-0 Friday and Valparaiso taking game two 8-6 on Saturday.
The Purple and Gold will be back in action on Tuesday with a 4 p.m. scheduled start time versus Western Kentucky at Dugan Field.
