Baseball Set to Host Hartford for Weekend Series

NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb baseball team continues its busy week with a three-game series versus Hartford at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen L. Marsh Stadium.

The games are scheduled to begin on Friday at 4 p.m. and will continue with tilts on Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.

Inclement weather is predicted to roll through the Nashville area on Friday and Saturday, so be sure to check back for further updates. Sunday’s game will also be rescheduled for a 10:00 a.m. start if the Lipscomb men’s basketball team advances to the ASUN Conference Tournament Championship Game, which will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Allen Arena.

The Bisons (5-6) split their two midweek matchups losing to Austin Peay on Tuesday 12-11, but bounced back with a 3-2 win over Memphis on Wednesday.

Lipscomb had its first walk-off win of the season against Memphis as junior Brian Moore crushed a triple to left center field with two outs scoring Maddux Houghton from first. The pitching combo of Matthew Maldonado, Erik Gutierrez and Caleb Brenczewski held the Tigers to just five hits and did not allow a run after the third inning.

Live stats will be available for all three games and all the games will be streamed on Facebook Live via the Lipscomb Baseball page.
