NASHVILLE - With the fall season beginning for the 2019-20 Bisons, it is time for Lipscomb baseball's 14th Annual Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament which is set for Friday, October 18th.
After another succesful fundraiser in 2018, head coach Jeff Forehand is pleased to announce that this years tournament will once again be held at the Gaylord Springs Golf Links. The course, which was designed by US Open and PGA champion Larry Nelson, presents a challenge for golfers of all skills and is routinely named as one of the best courses Tennessee.
The links-style course requires accurate drives off the tee in order to avoid deep bunkers, water hazards and rolling grass mounds but also demands creative shot taking and a soft touch around the MiniVerde Bermuda grass greens.
Bordered by limestone bluffs and wetlands carved from the banks of the Cumberland River, Gaylord Springs Golf Links provides great scenery and will test you on every hole from tee box to green.
The tournament is slated to begin at 7:30 a.m. with registration and will follow with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Once all participants have conluded play, lunch will be served and the awards ceremony will take place.
Entry to the tournament including lunch and gift bags, a golf hat, and costs $200 per individual. There are also a multitude of sponsorship opportunities listed below if you can't attend the event, but still would like to support the program.
All proceeds will go towards helping the Lipscomb Baseball program.
