2015: After missing all of 2014 with an injury, he came back to take the mound in 12 games as a junior with four starts...Finished 2-1 with a 2.73 ERA and two saves...Tossed 33 innings with 24 strikeouts and 10 walks while limiting opponents to a .212 batting average against...Against Tennessee Tech on Apr. 3, other than giving up a solo shot in the second, Hwang was brilliant in his second start of the season...He gave up one run on four hits in seven innings and faced just two batters above the minimum while not allowing a walk and sitting the Golden Eagles down in order six times....He also matched his career high with seven punchouts...Threw a season high 82 pitches on the road at Western Kentucky (3/17)...Picked up his second career save against Northern Kentucky (5/14) after striking out both batters he faced...Against North Florida (5/23) in the A-Sun Tournament Championship game, he picked up the save after throwing the final three frames.

2014: Redshirted after suffering an injury that kept him sidelined for the entire season.

2013: Made 26 appearances including two starts…Went 2-0 with a 3.02 ERA…Fanned 47 batters in 56.2 innings of work…Posted a team best 1.78 ERA in Atlantic Sun play with 14 appearances. 

2012: Tossed one inning…Allowed one hit and one unearned run. 

High School: Prepped at South Forsyth High School…2011 Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-Southeast Region…Earned Georgia Region 7 AAAAA All-Region and All-County honors…Named to the Georgia Dugout Club All State Tournament Team.

Personal: Parents are Hongchul and Yeonja Hwang…His father, Hongchul, represented South Korea in the 400m hurdles in the 1988 Olympic Games hosted in Seoul…One sister, Sunju, who attends the Pratt Institute…Also recruited by Georgia, Kennesaw State, Georgia Southern, Marshall and Western Carolina.
