Josh Lee is entering his second year as Volunteer Assistant Coach after completing his playing career with the Bisons in 2015. Lee is responsible for mentoring and developing the Bisons’ catchers, along with assisting in the development of hitters and helping coordinate Lipscomb’s baseball camp program.
In his first season on the staff, Lee contributed to the development of Chucky Vazquez, who went on to sign a professional contract with the New York Yankees.
Lee, along with his two brothers Adam and Ben, was a member of Lipscomb’s 2015 Atlantic Sun Conference Champion baseball team, which also made a NCAA Regional appearance. During his senior season, Lee received the James R. Byers Award as the top senior male athlete recognizing excellence in athletics, academics, and Christian leadership. As a junior, Lee was named Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week and led the team by batting .417 in conference play. Lee began his collegiate career at Vanderbilt University, and was a member of their 2011 College World Series team.
Lee recently completed his Masters of Education in Educational and Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri. Lee is married to former Belmont Bruins cheerleader, Miranda Worland.
