2016: Named the first ASUN Pitcher of the Year in Lipscomb's history as a unanimous decision...Also became the first non-freshman Bison to ever earn an All-America nod from Collegiate Baseball...Puckett dominated his opponents as the anchor of the Bisons rotation and tossed his way to a 9-2 record and a 2.93 ERA...In his 15 starts, Lipscomb went 13-2 and the righty did not lose a decision in his last eight contests...His nine triumphs tied Ian Martinez-McGraw for the most in a single-season in program history...Not only did the Murfreesboro native lead the league in wins, he was also tops in strikeouts (101) and pitcher of the week honors (4)...His 107.2 innings logged paced the ASUN and ranked as the second most frames thrown in a season in program history...The 6-foot-9 hurler rang up five or more batters in 13 games and tossed at least 7.0 innings in 12...He pitched two complete games without allowing an earned run - against Jacksonville and at North Florida...He then tossed his league-best third complete game in a 4-1 win over Eastern Michigan...Puckett pitched at least seven innings in 12-of-15 games and rang up double-digit batters, including a career high 11 strikeouts in wins over Kennesaw State and Mississippi Valley State...He also fanned 10 in Lipscomb’s first-ever meeting with NJIT...He allowed two earned runs or less in 9-of-15 contests...Against ASUN foes he compiled a 3-0 mark with a 2.38 ERA...In 53.0 frames he struck out 50 and walked eight while holding opponents to a .227 average...

2015: Appeared in 15 games on the mound as a true freshman with 11 starts...Finished 7-3 with a 4.54 ERA in 79.1 innings pitched...Struck out 45 and walked 25 while holding opponents to a .241 batting average...Pitched a masterpiece on April 7 to knock off No. 1 Vanderbilt by tossing 7.1 stanzas, the longest outing by a starting pitcher against the Dores in 42 games...In the win he gave up just one run on five hits and struck out a career high six batters...The one run allowed marked the lowest run total by the Commodores in a 46-game stretch dating back to 2014...Finished second in the A-Sun with two complete games...The first came March 25 on the road against Middle Tennessee, where he surrendered just one run on six hits with four strikeouts to pick up his first collegiate win...He faced just four batters above the minimum and only reached a three-ball count twice...Tossed his second complete game on May 22 against North Florida in the A-Sun Tournament, a win that propelled the Bisons into the championship game...He held the NCAA's fifth-ranked offense to just one run on five hits...Puckett showed his strength when the Bisons were away from Dugan Field, going 6-1 in true road games with a 3.78 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 50 innings...His four wins against league foes were the fifth most in the A-Sun...In games that Lipscomb won, the 6-foot-8 righthander compiled a remarkable 7-0 record with a 1.87 ERA and held foes to just a .192 batting average...

High School: Played for Barry Messer at Riverdale High School...Ranked the 34th best player and the 10th best RHP in the state of Tennessee by Perfect Game in 2014...Helped lead the Warriors to a 32-11 record during his senior season...On the mound Puckett went 6-1 with a 1.51 ERA...Had four complete games with three shutouts along with a saves...In 51 innings pitched, he struck out 53 and walked 20...He hit .311 with six homeruns and 33 RBIs...Named to the All-Region 4 team as well as the All-District team during his senior year...Became just the third player in Riverdale's history to get drafted when the New York Mets selected Puckett in the 33rd round of the 2014 draft...Led the Warriors to three straight district, regional and substate champonships...Named the Offensive Player of the Year in 2013...His top high school memory is when he threw a one-hitter in the regional championship.
