Friday night in front of a standing room only crowd of 5,387, the second largest crowd in Allen Arena history, the Lipscomb Bison fell 84-58 to rival Belmont in the second installment of the “Battle of the Boulevard.”
Lipscomb senior guard Anna Bowers recently became just the fourth Lady Bison to reach the 1,000-point mark in the NCAA Division I era joining her father Ricky, a former standout for the Bison, in the exclusive club.
The Lipscomb women’s basketball team is set to close a chapter in the history of the “Battle of the Boulevard” hosting Belmont as a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference for the last time on Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. at Allen Arena.
Friday's Battle of the Boulevard against Belmont has sold out. A limited number of standing room only tickets are being sold through LipscombTickets.com for $10 each. The game is set to tip at 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on CSS, ESPN3, and 102.5 The Game.
