Heavy rains on Friday forced the Friday night Atlantic Sun Conference battle between Lipscomb and Kennesaw State to be postponed to a Saturday doubleheader. The twinbill is set to get underway at 11 a.m.
Lipscomb volleyball players Brittnay Estes and Molly Spitznagle were baptized recently during their mission trip in Brazil.
After defending his 200-meter dash title at the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships and garnering three other all-conference awards, Lipscomb junior Tucker Peabody has been named the A-Sun Most Outstanding Track Athlete of the year.
Senior righty Josh Cotham tossed a complete game 6-1 victory over Kennesaw State in his final appearance at Dugan Field. The win clinched a berth in the 2013 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship hosted in DeLand, Fla.
Three Lipscomb track and field athletes will be competing in the NCAA National Championships Preliminary Round. Junior Tucker Peabody and freshmen Gemikal Prude and Madi Talbert will be competing in the event in Greensboro, N.C., beginning Thursday, May 23.
