The Bisons dug an early hole that was too much to dig out in an 82-77 loss to rival Belmont at the Curb Event Center. Malcolm Smith scored 21 points, grabbed six boards and dished four assists in the loss. Twin brother Martin added 21 for the Purple and Gold.
The Bisons continue action in the Music City on Monday night with the shortest trip of the season to take on Belmont at 7 p.m. at the Curb Event Center. Tickets still remain through the Belmont Ticket Office.
Freshman guard Nathan Moran led the way for the Bisons on Saturday night with 16 points en route to a 74-63 win over Transylvania.
