Lipscomb basketball coach Scott Sanderson has announced the addition of two more players for the 2012-2013 season. Forward Talbott Denny from, Tucson, Ariz., and point guard JJ Butler from Abingdon, Md., near Baltimore, have both signed their national letters to play for Lipscomb.
Lipscomb and Belmont will continue the "Battle of the Boulevard" playing twice next season in men's basketball, the schools announced Thursday. The first game is Nov. 9 in Allen Arena with a rematch scheduled for Dec. 4 at the Curb Event Center.
Jackie Bradford’s road to the Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame began on the campus of Lipscomb University. As a basketball player he excelled at LU, serving as co-captain and earning MVP honors in both of his two years with the Bisons. He earned honorable mention as an NAIA All-American his senior year.
Lipscomb seniors Justin Glenn and Leah McAlister recently received the A.D. Hancock/Walter Nipper Sportsmanship Award from the Nashville City Civitan Club. The award is given based on leadership, character and sportsmanship.
