Three Lipscomb players scored in double figures, but a late rally by host UCF sealed a 67-58 victory Monday night in Atlantic Sun competition.
With the score tied at 58-58 with 1:56 left, Josh Peppers hit a 3-pointer for UCF for their first lead since early in the second half. UCF would go on an 11-0 run to close out the game, including six free throws from Gary Johnson.
UCF led 34-28 at the half. The Bisons rallied to start the second half, going on a 17-7 run. The Bisons led for the first time in the game at 40-39 when Cameron Robinson stole a pass and dunked the ball at 16:27.
The Bisons biggest lead in the second half was six points.
Brian Fisk led the Bisons in scoring with 16 points, including four 3-pointers. James Poindexter added 12 and Cameron Robinson finished with 10.
