Lipscomb Coach Scott Sanderson announced the signing of Seaford Wednesday afternoon on the national early signing day.
Seaford plays for Hope Christian Academy in Kings Mountain, N.C. He played the past three seasons for Gaston Day School.

Seaford was selected by Seth Davis, the writer of "Hoop Thoughts" for Sports Illustrated.com. as one of his "Summertime Top 10" players. Seaford caught the eye of Davis in the finals of the Adidas Tournament where he led his Charlotte Royals to the finals. Davis was impressed with Seaford's "tenacity and smarts."
Devon's father, Rod Seaford, told rivals.com that his son was convinced Lipscomb was the place for him after making an unofficial visit.
"Everything about it just knocked his socks off," Rod Seaford said to Justin Young of rivals.com. "The facilities were great. The weight room to the locker rooms to the dorms to the classrooms, everything was nice. It was the whole package."
He is the son of Cindy and Rod Seaford.
