NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Retuning to the friendly confines of Allen Arena after a pair of road contests, the Lipscomb men’s basketball team welcomes Murray State to campus for the first time in school history on Monday night at 6:30 p.m. in a non-conference contest featured exclusively on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.

Despite being only 126 miles apart, the two schools first played last season when the Bisons made the trek to Murray, Ky., to take on the Racers. MSU took the inaugural meeting between the two clubs with an 89-65 victory last season.

The defending Ohio Valley Conference champions, the Racers are led by All-America Isaiah Canaan, who heads into the contest averaging 26 points per contest after scoring 30 in the Racers 79-72 home win over Old Dominion.

The Bisons head into the contest led by sophomore guard Malcolm Smith, who is averaging 11.7 points per game. LU redshirt freshman center Stephen Hurt heads into the contest having scored in double figures in the past three contests including a team-high 14 points at Ole Miss last Friday.

Lipscomb continues to lead the Atlantic Sun Conference in rebounding bolstered by junior guard Khion Sankey’s 8.8 rebounds per game that ranks best in the league.

Monday night’s contest will air on ESPN3 with George Plaster handling play-by-play duties and joined by Justin Seamon as color analyst.  The game will also be joined in progress on 102.5 The Game.  Tickets still remain and may be purchased online here or by calling 615-966-HERD (4373).
