Brian Fisk scored 16 points and James Poindexter added 10, but the Lipscomb Bisons fell short 84-67 Saturday night to split their two-game regular season series with Florida Atlantic in Atlantic Sun competition.
The Bisons, playing the first of two road games in Florida, jumped out to a lead in the first half. At 10:29 the Bisons led by seven points (24-17) Ion a lay-up by Brian Fisk. Florida Atlantic began chipping away, tying the game at 24-24 with 8:45 left in the half on a lay-up by Tywain McTyer.
Florida Atlantic would trail again in the game, opening up a 45-37 halftime lead.
In the second half Florida Atlantic's defense kept the Bisons below 30 percent shooting from the field.
Cameron Robinson hauled down 10 rebounds for the Bisons. Both Fisk and Robinson each had three steals.
The Bisons slipped to 10-8 overall, 5-6 in the conference. FAU is 6-13 overall, 6-6 in the A-Sun.
