Wednesday, August 31, 2005 11/15/2004 Kris Alpers, a 6-foot-9 post player from Eden Prairie, Minn., has signed to play basketball at Lipscomb University.
"He is a very young kid, but he is the most improved player I've had in my program," said Eden Prairie High School coach Keith Erickson. "He has a great passion for the game. He has good post moves with the ability to face-up and shoot the mid-range jump shot.
"Kris is rated as one of the top post players in the Minneapolis area. He is a great student who will contribute well at Lipscomb."
Lipscomb coach Scott Sanderson expects Alpers to be a major force inside.
"Kris is a very skilled player in the low post," Sanderson said. "He is a good person who also has a great work ethic. He works four times a week in the gym with a former professional player." |
