Lipscomb's men's basketball team has signed guard Trey Williams of Kaskaskia College.

"Trey is a big, strong guard who will compete for time next year," said Lipscomb men's basketball coach Scott Sanderson. "His ability to see the floor and make decisions will be an asset to our team. I feel he is hungry to improve, and I look forward to coaching Trey."

Williams becomes the third player from Kaskaskia on the Bisons basketball team. Last year Sanderson and his staff signed center Shaun Durant and guard Jason Guyette from Kaskaskia.

Williams, 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, is from Memphis. He played high school basketball at Harding Academy.

In two seasons at Kaskaskia, Williams averaged 13.5 points, six assists and 3.5 rebounds. As a freshman he was honored as the team's assist leader. He served as captain of the team this past season.

"Trey has set a fine example for student athletes at Kaskaskia College," said Kaskaskia basketball coach John Cooksey. "Not only is Trey a leader on the floor, but more importantly, he is a leader off the floor. I believe that Trey's best basketball is still ahead of him."
