Shooting guard LaBrian Lyons from Murfreesboro's Riverdale High School has signed a grant-in-aid to play basketball at Lipscomb University.

Lyons, 6-foot-4, 205 pounds, has been an All-District 7-AAA and All-Region 4-AAA performer for Riverdale. He is coached by Brandon Burks.

As a junior Lyons averaged 17 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals per game.

"LaBrian is a big, strong athletic guard," said Lipscomb coach Scott Sanderson. "He is versatile enough to play the No. 1, No. 2 or No. 3 positions.

"He loves to compete. We're glad to have him. It's always nice to recruit a player who has been part of a well-coached team."
