Lipscomb announces radio deal with 102.5 The Game

Lipscomb director of athletics Philip Hutcheson announced an agreement with 102.5 The Game to serve as the Official Sports Station of Lipscomb Athletics and broadcast over 20 regular season men’s basketball games during the 2011-12 season.

"We are excited to enter into a radio partnership with 102.5 The Game to broadcast our games throughout Middle Tennessee," Hutcheson said. "I'm glad that we can partner with the area's newest sports station in returning Bisons basketball to the airwaves for the first time in several years."

Hutcheson also announced that Jackson will be the presenting sponsor of the Lipscomb Sports Network for the 2011-12 season. Jackson recently moved its headquarters to Franklin creating over 750 jobs.

The Game switched from a music format to sports format on Aug. 29 and began an affiliation with ESPN Radio Wednesday. It will also carry the Nashville Predators and Alabama football.

Fans will be able to listen to games throughout Middle Tennessee and parts of southern Kentucky including Murray and Bowling Green. Over two-thirds of Lipscomb’s alumni live within the footprint of “The Game.”

Jonathan Seamon returns as the “Voice of the Bisons” for all men’s basketball broadcasts.  A complete schedule of games will be announced in the coming weeks.

Local radio host Brent Dougherty will serve as the play-by-play broadcaster for Lady Bisons basketball home games. All Lipscomb basketball home games will also be carried live on ASun.TV.
