Jeff Goodman of ranked the top 50 shooters in the nation as part of his college basketball preseason coverage. He selected Lipscomb senior guard Jordan Burgason the No. 24 shooter in the nation.

Burgason, a 6-foot-3 guard from Ames, Iowa, owns Lipscomb's NCAA era record for three-pointers made with 211.  He's connected on 42.9 percent of his attempted treys over the last two years and closed out last season making 49 percent of his threes over the final 14 games.

Vanderbilt's John Jenkins was named the top shooter in the nation.  Two of Burgason's A-Sun counterparts made the list.  Belmont's Ian Clark was ranked No. 37 and North Florida's Parker Smith was picked No. 44.

Burgason hit 5-of-10 three-pointers in Tuesday's exhibition against Freed-Hardeman.  The Bisons open the regular season Friday at 7:15 p.m. against Fort Valley State in Allen Arena.
