Remaining Lipscomb Basketball Promotions Announced

Lipscomb athletics marketing has several exciting events planned for the remainder of the 2011-12 Bison basketball season. Events are planned benefiting families, the community and the university as we close out the home portion of the basketball schedule.

Every men’s game in Allen Arena will feature a “Kid’s Zone,” face painting, inflatable moon bounce, balloon animal artist, basketball shooting games and a foosball table for children to enjoy. Postgame, all children are invited to come on the floor at Allen Arena and shoot on the goals.

102.5 the Game, the flagship station for Bison basketball, will broadcast live remotes from Allen Arena featuring Willy Daunic and Joe Dubin prior to home men’s games against Stetson (Jan. 16) and ETSU (Feb. 20). The “3HL” crew on 104.5 the Zone of Brent Dougherty, Blaine Bishop and Clay Travis will be on location in Allen Arena prior to the Bison’s Jan. 30 game against Jacksonville.

Two different Scout groups will be recognized at games, beginning with Scout Night during Jan. 14’s Florida Gulf Coast doubleheader. Scouts in uniform get in free, and tickets are $5 for family members. Girl Scout Day is Feb. 18 against USC Upstate.

Saturday, Jan. 28 against North Florida will be “Star Wars Day”. Get your picture taken with Darth Vader, Chewbacca and all your favorite Star Wars characters in the Allen Arena lobby.

The Jan. 30 game against Jacksonville will be a great outing for families. Receive a child’s ticket (12 and under) free with every adult ticket purchased that night.

The “Battle of the Boulevard” game against Belmont on Feb. 3 will feature the world-renowned Beale Street Flippers from Memphis as the halftime entertainment. Tickets to the Belmont game are going fast, so be sure to contact Tim Freese at 615-966-5456 or go to today to reserve your seats.
