NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Hitting the road for the first time in 2012-13, the Lipscomb men’s basketball team opens road action at former Atlantic Sun Conference foe Gardner-Webb on Wednesday night at 5 p.m. at the Paul Porter Arena in Boiling Springs, N.C.
The Bisons (1-1) are fresh off a 73-55 win over Maryville (Mo.) on Monday night at Allen Arena. Senior guard Deonte Alexander led LU with 16 points while junior college transfer Khion Sankey hauled in 12 of Lipscomb’s 40 rebounds in the contest.
Gardner-Webb also enters Wednesday night’s matchup 1-1 on the young season. The Runnin’ Bulldogs played solid in a 76-59 loss at No. 11 North Carolina last Friday night before downing Covenant 77-39 at home on Saturday.
Bison fans can listen to the game on 102.1 The Light on the dial or online with veteran play-by-play man Jonathan Seamon on the broadcast. Gardner-Webb will also air pay-per-view video.
