NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Along with a new head coach pacing the sidelines this fall, the Lipscomb men’s basketball team is excited to announce a new home for Bison basketball on the radio as WQZQ 94.9 Game 2 becomes the flagship station for Lipscomb Athletics.
All 29 regular-season contests for Bison basketball will air on 94.9 Game 2 beginning with the “Battle of the Boulevard” on Nov. 8 as Belmont comes calling to open the Casey Alexander era of Allen Arena.
“We are thrilled to have a new home for Bison basketball on the air,” said Lipscomb director of athletic communications Jamie Gilliam. “94.9 Game 2 has a strong signal and will give us great coverage in the Nashville market and inside Allen Arena. It’s exciting to know that our fans will have one destination on the radio for Lipscomb hoops.”
The Babbling Bison, Jonathan Seamon, returns behind the mic for the “Purple and Gold” holding down the play-by-play duties. Jay Walton will again join Seamon to give his veteran insight and analysis while Jared Revlett returns for his second season as studio host for the Bisons.
The newest FM station in the Nashville market, 94.9 Game 2 is home for NBC Sports Radio, Sports Night and the Paul Finebaum Show in the “Music City”.
Alongside the radio calls, all 12 Lipscomb home basketball games will be broadcast on ESPN3 and via the WatchESPN app live from Allen Arena.
Now more than ever, you can listen and watch Bison basketball in your car, on your phone, on your computer and on your television. Radio broadcasts will be available online and on the station’s app.
Individual and season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at http://www.LipscombTickets.com or by calling 615-966-HERD (4373)
