NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb men’s basketball team is already starting to garner attention for the 2014-15 season being named one of three teams that could become the next mid-major powerhouse in college hoops by the Bleacher Report.
The publication cited the Bisons high-octane offense in 2013-14 and the number of returning scorers as reasons why Lipscomb could join the ranks of Butler, Crieghton, Davidson and VCU as teams that have become mid-major powers.
“It's a great sign when others are talking positively about our program,” said Lipscomb head coach Casey Alexander. “The reality is that we have a lot of hard work ahead of us if we want to meet the expectations laid out for us.”
The Bisons were joined by Georgia State and Winthrop in the story as teams poised to become mid-major powers.
