NASHVILLE, Tenn. – With appearances on the SEC, Longhorn and Pac-12 networks along with 17 games on ESPN3 featured contests, the Lipscomb men’s basketball team is set for record exposure in the 2014-15 season with 21 games scheduled to air
“I think this is an indication that we are doing things first class and that this is a high level program,” said Lipscomb head coach Casey Alexander. “Fans can access our games from anywhere in the world and follow closely if that’s their desire. That’s what we want to be able to offer to our fans, our family and anyone that cares about Lipscomb men’s basketball.”
Bison fans will not have to wait long to catch the Purple and Gold on a full broadcast as Lipscomb takes on Belmont on ESPN3 next Monday night in the renewal of the Battle of the Boulevard. A Thursday-night affair at Vanderbilt will then air live nationwide on FSN from Memorial Gymnasium.
Lipscomb’s contest at Colorado on Nov. 30 is set to air on the Pac-12 network, while the Bisons battle with Texas is slated for a Longhorn Network broadcast on Dec. 16. Alexander’s squad will then make their first-ever appearance on the SEC Network on Jan. 3 at Missouri.
The Atlantic Sun Conference slate will highlight the bulk of the broadcasts for the Bisons as all eight conference schools are on schedule to join the ESPN college initiative that Lipscomb helped set the pace for. All 14 A-Sun games along with the first two rounds of the league tournament will air on ESPN3 with school-produced broadcasts.
