Malcolm Smith opts to leave men's basketball program

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb men’s basketball team announces that senior forward Malcolm Smith has decided to leave the program.

“Malcolm has had a tremendous career at Lipscomb and we're disappointed to see it end when he's so close to the finish line,” said Lipscomb head coach Casey Alexander.  “We wish him the best and have confidence that he'll be a success story after graduating in May.”

Smith finishes his career with 1,360 points tying him with Tracey Sales for 22nd most all-time for Lipscomb including an NCAA era best 515 free throws.

The Bisons wrap up the 2014-15 season on Saturday hosting Kennesaw State at 10 a.m. at Allen Arena. The game will air live on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app with Jonathan and Justin Seamon calling the action.
