Men's basketball picks up NABC honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Lipscomb men’s basketball team has been honored for solid work in the classroom with a Team Academic Excellence Award by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for the first time in program history.

“When you think about being one of 27, less than 10 percent of all NCAA Division I schools, that's an impressive club to be in,” said Lipscomb head coach Casey Alexander. “It's been a real mission of ours to attract quality student-athletes that represent Lipscomb well.  This recognition is a clear indication that we're making progress in that area.”

Along with picking up the team award, the Bisons led the Atlantic Sun Conference with three members on the NABC Honors Court as Dylan Greene, Cam Miller and Brett Wishon were honored for their studious efforts.

“Our players are the ones that deserve all of the credit, but Adam Jones, Lin Garner and our great support staff at Lipscomb should also be recognized,” noted Alexander.

Lipscomb was the lone ASUN team to earn the academic laurel and was joined by the following NCAA Division I teams:

American
