LAKEPOINTE, Ga. – On the heels of leading the Bisons to a road win at Missouri, Lipscomb guard Nathan Moran has been named the ASUN Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the league on Monday.
With three other starters in foul trouble, the junior posted a season-high, 22-point effort against the Tigers to lead the Bisons to an 81-76 win. He hit 5-of-10 beyond the arc in the victory and added seven free throws including six in the final three minutes of action to seal the victory. Moran added five rebounds, three assists and three steals in the contest.
The award is the first of Moran’s career. He joins Garrison Mathews and Josh Williams as weekly winners this season. It marks just the second time in school history the Bisons have had three different winners in one season. It was previously accomplished by Eddie Ard, Brian Fisk and Trey Williams in 2006-07.
The Bisons return home on Thursday night hosting Fisk at 6:30 p.m. at Allen Arena.
