Shaun Senters is in his 12th season as an assistant coach at Lipscomb under head coach Scott Sanderson.

Senters works with recruiting and scouting, but his primary duty is the development of the Bisons perimeter players. He has been instrumental in the progress of Jeff Dancy, All-Independent Freshman of the Year in 2002; James Poindexter, All-Independent Freshman of the Year in 2003; Brian Fisk, a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Freshman Team in 2004; and Josh Slater, a member of the First Team Atlantic Sun All Conference Team.

Senters played point guard for the Bisons from 1994-1998 under former head coach Don Meyer. During his four years with the Bisons, they compiled a record of 119-27.

Lipscomb participated in the NAIA National Tournament in 1995, 1996, and 1997. During the 1995-96 season, the Bisons won the TransSouth Conference Tournament and advanced to the NAIA Final Four finishing 33-6. The next year Lipscomb finished the season with a record of 30-6 and a No. 5 national ranking.

He graduated from Lipscomb in 1998 with Bachelor's of Science degree in Physical Education. He began his coaching career with a one-year stint as a graduate assistant for the Bisons following graduation.

Senters was named an assistant coach at Shorter College in Rome, Ga., in 1999 where he developed NAIA All-American honorable mention Travis Williams.

Senters returned to Lipscomb in 2000 as an assistant coach in Lipscomb's first year as part of the NCAA. The Bisons won the 2006 Atlantic Sun Championship and received a berth to the National Invitational Tournament.

Lipscomb players have been named 11 times to the Atlantic Sun All-Conference team, five times to the Atlantic Sun All-Freshman team and three times to the Atlantic Sun All-Tournament team in Senters's tenure.

Senters is a native of Knoxville, Tenn. He married the former Katie Messner in May 2008. They reside in Nashville.
